“It is not sufficient that we profess ourselves to be the children of God: our works must declare it.“
“Christ has good reason to require more from His disciples than He does from the children of the wicked one. They profess more, but unless their profession be supported by facts, verified by works, then it is a vain and hypocritical one: dishonoring to the Saviour, a stumbling-block to His people, and an occasion of blasphemy to His enemies.“

The free chapter is chapter 21, “The Law and Love–Concluded.” During the reading and production of this chapter, I saw an urgent need for professing Christians today to be reminded of these timeless truths. We naturally struggle with loving others, much less with loving our enemies. In 2021, it seems as if everyone is ready to go to battle at any moment, with anyone, and over any issue. Maybe it’s time to remind ourselves of the command of King Jesus to love. May this chapter be a help toward that end!
